This year marks the 10th annual Creative Living Holiday Special on KENW-TV and promises to be as exciting as ever. Scheduled for Saturday, December 9th from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., the Holiday special is a part of the station's Winter Membership Drive, and features eight guests who will share their ideas, instructions, tips, and suggestions so viewers can make the holiday season even more special.
To encourage viewers to pledge during the 90 minute holiday special, the station will offer some exciting premiums. For a pledge of only $35.00, viewers can choose any two of the popular Creative Living booklets, or a choice of four booklets for just $60.00.
Something new has also been added as an incentive for viewers to support the station during the Winter Membership Drive. This year, viewers can have a half-inch VHS tape with all of the eight segments on it for a pledge of $75.00.
This year's guest line up includes cookbook author, Sue Vaughn who is going to present a segment on Do-Ahead Sandwiches. Sue's company is Jan-Su Publications, and she's from Lamesa, TX. Another guest is Tera Leigh, an artist with Paintability in Lafayette, CA, will demonstrate some quick and easy gifts to make. Next will be cookbook author, Bette Hagman from Seattle, WA, and she's going to explain how to keep the holidays gluten-free by demonstrating a variety of recipes for the celiac or anyone who is gluten intolerant. Also, Lana Bennett, a sewing consultant with Singer Sewing Co. in Flemington, NJ, will show how to make some gift items that require little or no sewing skills but are guaranteed to please the recipient.
Everyone loves candles, and with so many weddings scheduled during the holiday season, Olga Puzas of PartyLite Gifts, Inc. in Plymouth, MA, will show some ways to decorate the wedding room or reception hall, as well as show some great gift ideas featuring candles. Then, Nancy Siler of Wilton Industries, Inc. of Woodridge, IL, will show how to make some delicious candies.
The 90-minute Holiday Special will conclude with Connie Moyers, Roosevelt County Extension Home Economist in Portales, NM, as she shares some recipes and ideas from her presentation called "Stocking Up for Christmas."
